Points of Interests
The beauty of Kippel is that it is little known by tourists, and incredibly authentic where old
traditions and culture are still very alive. As we are in the middle of the Alps, we are
surrounded by the most famous ski slopes in Europe.
The Lötschberg Zentrum is a 7-minute walk from a cable car that takes you directly to the
Lauchernalp ski slopes! If you are lucky, you might even be able to ski directly to the
center when coming back from your ski day.
During summer you can enjoy lots of different hikes around the Lötschberg Zentrum with
many tracks, such as the Höhenweg.
The Lötschental is the largest valley on the northern side of the Rhône valley in the canton
of Valais in Switzerland. It lies in the Bernese Alps. The Jungfrau-Aletsch Protected Area is
the most glaciated area in the Swiss Alps, and was declared a Natural World Heritage Site
by UNESCO, along with southern and eastern parts of the Lötschental.
If you prefer a more relaxing spa time we are only 1 hour away from Leukerbad which is
well known for its outdoor thermal baths with breathtaking views.
